“Secretary Lazaro told the Ambassador that the statement was provocative and unacceptable, and does not contribute to creating understanding,” ayon sa statement ng DFA.
“She stressed that such language aggravates an already sensitive bilateral atmosphere and undermines the shared efforts of both countries to build mutual understanding and cooperation,” dagdag ng ahensiya.
“It is not the place of a foreign mission to publicly criticize or taunt Philippine officials and legislators who are acting within their mandates,” giit ng DFA.
“As a democracy, the Philippines values freedom of expression and a plurality of voices, and it will not accept attempts by a foreign envoy to intimidate those who exercise them,” diin pa ng ahensiya.

Kinumpirma ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla na nakabili ng buong gusali sa Paris, France si dating Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co.
“He’s staying in Avenue de Montaigne, less than 200 meters away from Champs-Élysées, 10-bedroom chateau, with a value of I think, if I’m not mistaken, 600 million dollars,” paglalarawan ng kalihim sa nabiling gusali ni Co.
“He’s in his third month of application for asylum. We are confident he won’t get it. We have filed for a Red Notice, and as soon as it’s issued and there’s no asylum, kukunin na natin siya,” wika ni Remulla.
