By Donna Natividad-Arenas May 3, 2024 | 9:30 AM
Gary Gamble, Director of Operations for Evanov Communications and Adam West, Operations Manager and Program Director lead a simple recognition program earlier today, May 1st, 2024 in honor of Gido Gigliotti ,  92.7 FM Program Director, for his service  to CKJS for the last 40 years.
Apart from his technical,  production and supervising duties through the years,   Adam  described Gido  as always the first one to step up.   “I remember  when we were still in 520 Corydon, Gido has been the first to shovel snow in the winter time making it sure that no one was slipping.  When we had a crack in the foundation, the first person with the mop was Gido.
Since CKJS’s founding in the late 1970s,  Gido’s  hard work  and dedication  have greatly contributed to what the multilingual radio station  is  now.
Airing in high-definition,  92.7 FM CKJS (formerly broadcasting as  810AM)   is  probably the longest-running multilingual radio station in the whole of Canada and   has maintained its role in connecting and reaching out to many ethnicities and communities in Manitoba for the last 40 years.
Thank you  Gido  for all your contributions  to CKJS and  the radio broadcasting industry!
