Filipino-American stand-up Comedian Jo Koy will make a stop in Canada life Centre, Winnipeg on Sept. 17 as part of his “Funny is Funny World Tour”.
Jo Koy, whose material is inspired by his family and Filipino culture, is originally from Washington state and started his comedy career performing at a Las Vegas coffee house. Now, he sells out arenas and theatre vemues across the world.
One of the most celebrated stand-up comedians today, Jo Koy was a frequent panelist on E!’s late night show Chelsea Lately and has a number of Comedy Central and Netflix specials in his credit. His Universal Picture comedy film Easter Sunday will be showing in theaters this August.
He was named “Stand-Up Comedian Of The Year” at the 2018 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
In 2017, Jo Koy sold out four shows at Winnipeg Club Regent Event Centre– breaking the venue’s attendance record.
The “Funny is Funny” World tour will include all new material and will bring laughters in key cities around the world.
