Earlier during the day, the prime minster met with Premier Wab Kinew and announced funding for early learning and child care, reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, opportunities to expand Manitoba’s low carbon economy, and partnerships under the Team Canada engagement strategy to promote Canada’s economic interests across the United States.
During his interview with Chester, the prime minister reiterated his appreciation of the valuble contribution of immigration in strengthening the Canadian economy.

The Prime Minister also participates in a fireside chat hosted by the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce later today, as part of his two-day visit.
