Public health officials announce new restrictions on Winnipeg bars and restaurants

Starting Wednesday, Oct 7, 2020, restaurants and bars in the Winnipeg area will be under the orange pandemic response level according to Chief Provincial Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin.

-No sale or service of liquor in licensed premises between 10 p.m. & 9 a.m.- Licensed premises must ensure all members of the public leave the premises by 11 p.m.

– Restaurant/bar staff must obtain contact info in writing from at least one person in each party attending the licensed premises and the retain this information for 21 days, after which it must be destroyed.

-Dancing will also be forbidden in licensed establishments

-Delivery or take-out of food from licensed premises after 11 p.m. will be allowed and is not covered by the restriction

The new restrictions announced Monday were developed in consultation with businesses.
