One game in seven languages.
For the first time in the history of Canada’s Saturday night hockey tradition, Hockey will be presented in seven additional languages — with Tagalog (Filipino) included.
Molson Canadian in partnership with Sportsnet announced Wednesday that it will streamlive Hockey Night April 17, marking the first time in history that the games will be broadcasted in multiple languages that were deemed to be among the most spoken languages in the country.
The games between Toronto Maples Leafs vs. Vancouver Canucks game and the Edmonton Oilers vs. Winnipeg Jets games will have commentators speaking not only English and French but Arabic, Cantonese, German, Hindi, Mandarin, Tagalog (Filipiuno) and Vietnamese.
The Hockey Night special edition will give the diversed Canadian population the experience of watching Hockey like it’s never heard before in an inclusive more personal way!
