Today is World Diabetes Day – a day established in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation with support from World Health Organizaton, dedicated to spreading awareness about Diabetes.
In Manitoba Dynacare and Diabetes Canada work together to deliver #Dynacare4Diabetes, a diabetes wellness initiative focused on supporting Manitobans with risk factors that increase the likelihood of developing Type 2 Diabetes.
Now on its 5th year, the campaign aims to encourage people to assess their risk for diabetes, consult their doctor and, if recommended, get tested.
Radio personality 92.7 FM CKJS’ Lucille Nolasco-Garrido joined in spreading awareness from The Wellness Institute in Seven Oaks General Hospital, 1075 Leila Ave. — one of the mobile clinics that offer free A1C test for the whole month of November.
Visit any Dynacare location in Manitoba or one of our four mobile clinics to receive a FREE A1C test. Dynacare will donate $0.50 to Diabetes Canada for every A1C test in November up to $25,000.
