The Evanov Radio Group’s 2nd Annual Kidthink Radiothon was a huge success with the latest total raised funds of $124,209 — with pledges still coming in.
The radiothon was a collaborative effort of Evanov Winnipeg stations 92.7 FM CKJS, Hot 100.5 and Energy 106 and the participating companies and sponsors aimed at supporting Kidthink Children’s Mental Health Centre, a non-profit group that works on prevention programs and early intervention of mental health and addiction challenges for youth and children in Manitoba.
Live on-the-air on May 6th, the all-day event heard the inspiring story of Kidthink Founder Carmyn Aleshka and the principle behind creating a mental treatment centre that focuses on child therapy and mental well-being of kids aged 12 and under. Kidthink has programs for children with anxiety, ADHD, depression, behavioural, self esteem issues and learning challenges.
This year’s radiothon surpassed last year’s goal of raising $100,000.
