Starting today, March 1st, Manitobans are no longer required to show proof of vaccination at many businesses and public venues around the province. Some businesses and establishments however still choose to keep the requirement.
Some local public venues that have already announced plans to temporarily keep vaccine and mask requirements include Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre,. Park Theatre, Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose. True North Sports and Entertainment also announced that people attending events at the Canada Life Centre in downtown Winnipeg will still have to show their vaccine cards.
The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce says many of its member businesses will “wait and see” when it comes to maintaining — or completely removing — some restrictions.
