Santa reaches The Forks Market parking lot at approximately 6:45 PM and the new float will stay there for public viewing until 9:00 PM.

A  larger crowd compared to other years is expected because of warmer weather with forecast high of plus 5 and low of minus 3 this Satuday with periods of rain.

This year’s parade  grand marshal will be   Gloria Cardwell Hoeppner, former executive director of West End BIZ.

Road closures for the parade begin at 1:30 p.m.   The annual holiday tradition  officially  welcome  Christmas season in the city following  remembrance day long weekend.

Bahay Kubo Philippines Float

Themed  as  traditional national house of the Philippines , the Manitoba Filipino Street Festival’s  (MFSF) “Bahay Kubo” will be one of the  60 floats  that will definitely  catch everyone’s attention   this year.     The  MFSF   float will  be  done  in coordination with  the   Quezon Province    Association of Manitoba and   Pinoy Alliance of Canada and  will  also  feature  Zumba   presentation.
