Max’s Restaurant, the casual dining restaurant serving authentic Filipino cuisine made famous by its signature juicy and crispy Max’s Fried Chicken is set to open its long awaited branch in Winnipeg, Manitoba fall of 2018.
Now with 15 locations in North America. Winnipeg’ will have the 5th Max’s in Canada, following branches in Vancouver, Toronto, Scarborough, and Edmonton.
The Filipino-Canadian family owned and run Alibin Group Inc., won the chain’s master franchise rights for Manitoba. The 4,500-square-foot, full-service restaurant is located at 1255 St. James St and is currently having some finishing touches.
Earlier reports say the company plans to open up two more Max’s locations in the city in the next five years.
Although Max’s specializes in Filipino food — rice dishes, egg rolls, noodles, fried chicken and pork bellies — Alibin thinks it will appeal to non-Filipino market.
