2018 marks the 10th Ride for Dad in Manitoba. Over the past nine years the Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad has raised over $1.85 million for prostate cancer research and education. Proceeds stay in Manitoba. Last year Manitoba led the nation in number of registered riders (1,510) and funds raised (over $350,000).
If you are not a rider, you can still register and collect pledges as a ‘Ride Champion’. This makes you eligible for all of the same prizes as registered riders and also eligible for the ‘Captains Club’ for raising $1,000 or more in pledges. There is no registration fee to be a ‘Ride Champion’.
Beat the rush and pick-up your Ride packages and free Gimli lunch coupon! Riders can register online at ridefordad.ca/manitoba and pick-up their Ride Package in-person Thursday, May 24 and Friday, May 25 from 4 pm to 8 pm, Earls Polo Park.
There are 1.2 million men with prostate cancer in Canada and 80 per cent don’t know it. Successful treatment depends on early detection. A simple PSA test and exam is all you need. Visit your doctor and get checked.
Join Celebrity Ride Captains Doug Brown, Ami Houde, Charlie Huddy, Gord Leclerc & Obby Khan and support the 10th annual Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad, Saturday, May 26. Motorcycle riders and non-riders alike can participate in the Ride for Dad by registering to ride or sponsoring a rider. Visit: ridefordad.ca/manitoba
