Heho!  For its 55th year, the  annual  Western Canada’s largest winter festival   celebrating francophone and Indigenous histories  runs Feb. 16-25 , 2024.

The mild season brought  snow and ice  that are now melted  which is the reason  for the absence of  the  traditional  snow sculptures.

Festival goers will be able to enjoy  the traditional fiddling, jigging, beard growing and pea soup competitions, as well as family activities including historical interpretations,  Fayt a la min workshops, and wood-carving demonstrations.   New this year is an Indigenous art gallery featuring local Indigenous artists.

Over 150 artists perform at Festival du Voyageur every year.  They also  offer all sorts of entertainment for all sorts of festivalgoers.

The  festival takes place at the  Whittier Park in the St. Boniface neighbourhood.
