MabuhayTV, the first Filipino show produced in Winnipeg piloted on July 2, 2017 in Shaw Cable TV.
Representing the vibrant Filipino Canadian community in Winnipeg, producer Lourdes Federis says its main objectives are to educate, inform, develop, inspire, entertain and promote the unique Filipino-Canadian identity.
Hosted by Lourdes herself, John Lalota and Judyanne Jaime, MabuhayTV broadcasts three times a week.
In order to watch it live on TV, one should have subscription with Shaw Multicultural Channel 9 and Ethnic Channels Group.
In its initial telecast, the show featured a variety of different topics from immigration to insurance to food and included a chat with CKJS 810AM broadcast personalities.
Producing a TV show is not a simple task and a collective effort of all those involved in the production which include Director Mike Pepito; writer/researcher Glenda Pepito and Janice Yu; Babel Baquial, asssitant editor and camera man; Miran Yumul, camera man; and Jerome Santome, co-producer and master editor.
MabuhayTV has its own YouTube Channel. CKJS was given permission by Lourdes to share the pilot episode in our site.
