Everyone loves water fun especially during hot Manitoba summer. Some families (like mine) travel for hours and cross the border every summer to cool down and enjoy attractions of a water park.
But do you know that Manitoba also has large water slide park that we can go to so we avoid long drive and save gas as well?
Discover Fun Mountain. We tried going there for the first time this July and our kids had a blast.
Fun Mountain is situated six kilometres east of the Mint, at 804 Murdock Road.
The 48-acre water park features ten slides of varying lenghts and kinds for different levels of adventures. There’s a hot tub and a pool.
My seven year old boy was able to enjoy the two slides which are generally for kids his age.
I love the presence of a first aid kiosk and of life guards although pools are not really that deep.
Fun Mountain also has a playground, beach volleyball area, mini golf and bumper boats.
They also rent out cottage and tables for small and big gatherings. They do not allow bringing outside food but there is a concession where you can buy burger, hotdog, pizza or ice cream.
There are lockers, life jacket for rent and a mini gift shop.
Entrance ranges from $20 to $25. Please check website for specific rate that applies to you. They also have group rates.
It opens at 11AM (except Monday when it opens at 12) and ends at 6PM daily. Since we came on a weekday, line up was relatively short.
I’ve known that Fun Mountan has been around for the last three and a half decades although there were changes in ownership. Since 2010, it is owned by Tanya and Darius Hall.
My kids love the exprience and are requesting that we come back again befor the end of summer.
