COMMUNITY: Pearl of the Orient Philippine Pavillion Continues to Shine

Summer in Manitoba is  made extra colorful  through the showcase of  different cultures and array of  food and delicacies.

On its, 48th year,  Folklorama,  the largest and longest-running multicultural festival of its kind in the world  continues to sizzle running from August 6 – 19, 2017.

It features  40-plus pavilions in its two weeks of festivities.

Visit the   Pearl of the Orient Philippine Pavilion on Week 1 of Folklorama from Sunday, August 6 – Saturday, August 12, 2017 at R.B. Russell School | 364 Dufferin Ave. (Located @ Salter & Dufferin).

Each year,   Ambassadors General  were chosen  from among the many  pavillion ambassadors to  embody Folklorama’s mission of celebrating diversity and promoting cultural understanding. This year they are as follows: Sheryl Vasquez, 2017 Adult Female Ambassador General (Pearl of the Orient Philippine Pavilion);  Philippe Mailhot, 2017 Adult Male Ambassador General (pavillon canadien-français);  Kelsey Omaga, 2017 Youth Female Ambassador General (Pearl of the Orient Philippine Pavilion);   Noah Lieberman, 2017 Youth Male Ambassador General (Israel Pavilion – Shalom Square).
